Weave Last Year's Khakis to Update Your Look for This Spring

Refreshing something old into something new is presumably one of my most loved things to do. I adore the sentiment being so over something (that I'm prepared to discard it, or give it away) that I'm alright with trying different things with a DIY method. When I have this outlook, I feel like my pieces turned out the best - there's no weight, in light of the fact that on the off chance that I foul up, such is life! I would dispose of it in any case! Because of that, this spring, we're seeing each bit of apparel shrouded in weaving. Jean coats, pants, shorts, tops, sacks - and we adore it all. Weaving is so basic (and in the event that you need to take in more, we have classes) and immaculate to do while voyaging, watching a show, or sitting on the shoreline. Refresh your pieces with a basic cross example or a more definite botanical look - look at our instructional exercise underneath.

Materials and Tools:
  • khaki pants
  • embroidery floss
  • needle
  • embroidery hoop
  • scissors

Instructions:

Tighten the fabric on the embroidery hoop, and then start stitching!

Pull the fabric really taught on the embroidery hoop to get the best results. Be aware of the pocket of the pants - don’t stitch it closed!

We stitched simple cross stitches around the pockets and ankles of the pants. Make your embroidery as simple or complex as you’d like. If you have the time, we suggest some pretty florals : )

Khakis = updated!

Style your updated khakis with an off-the-shoulder top to really make this outfit on trend with spring 2017 style.

Of course we brought Jackie along for the street-style shots. However, she was more interested in the dogs down the street.
